Close the Gap Between Cleared and Ready
Physical therapy gets you most of the way back. This stage rebuilds the strength, power, and speed your sport demands, and testing shows your progress.
Cleared Is Not the Same as Ready
Finishing physical therapy means you can train again. It does not mean you're ready to compete. Return to Sport is the ongoing training that closes that gap, from lifting at full load to sprinting at full speed.
Testing runs alongside the training. A full-body assessment sets your baseline, and each retest shows what improved and what still needs work. Clearance rests on those numbers, not a feeling.
What This Stage Rebuilds
Strength
Training back to full load, with each side of your body tested limb to limb to find imbalances.
Power
Jump and explosive work, measured against your baseline and the demands of your sport.
Speed
Sprinting, cutting, and change of direction, rebuilt in stages and retested as you progress.
How This Stage Works
Three steps, the same for every athlete, with every result recorded in the Injured app.
Baseline
Your first full assessment sets the numbers every retest is measured against.
Train and Retest
You train toward those numbers and test again. Each retest shows what improved and what still needs work.
Clearance
Your care team reviews your numbers against the standard for your sport and makes the clearance call.
Your Results Live in the Injured App
Your report is shared with you and your care team in the Injured app. It shows where you stand and what to work on next. That same data shapes your recovery pathway and your training program.
